This listing is a pdf download of the "Weimlove" hand knitting pattern to create this cute knitted cushion cover. The front features a sweet dog face inspired by my Weimaraner, worked from a chart using the double knitting technique.
The chart would also be suitable for the intarsia technique but please note that if using intarsia, the tension and yarn requirements may differ from that stated in the pattern.
The back is knitted using a simple slip stitch colour work pattern for the lower section and rib for the upper section. The pattern as worked is designed to fit a 35cm square cushion pad when slightly stretched.
The pattern is worked in two colours of Debbie Bliss Rialto DK yarn (available in 50g balls with approx length of 105m per ball). The pattern uses four balls of the light colour (shade 078) and two balls of the darker colour (shade 033). You will need a pair of 3.5mm needles for the front, and a medium length 3 1/4mm circular needle (or long dpns) to work the back (or alternative sizes to create the required tensions) and a 35cm square cushion pad.
If substituting yarns please check your meterage/yardage per ball to ensure that you have enough to complete the project.
The pattern is suitable both for experienced knitters, and for less experienced knitters wishing to practice their colour work skills.
Please note that this is a pdf download of a knitting pattern which will be available to you once payment has been confirmed.
