This pattern includes instructions to make a pig slipper that is knit first, then felted. The slippers are made of 100% wool yarn on the exterior and 100% alpaca yarn on the interior. The pattern includes instructions for baby feet through US women's size 6. The sizing is controlled in the felting -- or shrinking of the knitting, so you will be able to get a precise fit. For advanced beginning knitters.
For the largest child size, the boot exteriors require a total of 300 yards of
100% wool, worsted weight (3.5 ounces / 220 yards). The boot interiors require a total
of 300 yards of 100% alpaca with an approximate weight of 1.75 ounces / 110
yards. We used Pick Up Sticks wool and alpaca for the boots shown.
Tool Requirements: One set of size 10 double-point needles (sizes 1-3), or a size 10, 16" circular
needle (sizes 4-6); split-ring stitch markers; a stitch holder; a yarn needle, small crochet hook to
make the tail.
