Soft colors of yellow, coral, and pink...like a sunset. This silk chiffon fabric is truly beautiful, soft, delicate and the color is stunning. It would make a gorgeous gown, summer dress, skirt or kimono duster. I can picture this on an unconventional bride, who wants some soft color in her wedding gown.
It is actually 4.25 yards, so you get a quarter of a yard bonus! Width is 52" and it is pre-shrunk, so these are the actual measurements.
The technique I used to dye this fabric is called 'Ice Dye'. I applied colors of coral, yellow and pink and left it to take for about 24 hours. The entire process took about 48 hours to complete, including the tie-ing, binding and preparation. The ice dyeing process allows the colors/dye particles to expand as the color gets saturated into the fibers, and creates unique and exciting explosions of color. The fabric has been washed and dried 2 times and the color is 100% permanent. It will not fade overtime and is as colorfast as your regular fabric you find at the craft store, if not more.
