Item details

Girl's dress pattern size 8 from Marian Martin - one of the post-war mail order pattern companies that used to advertise in
newspapers and magazines. This comes with the original mailing envelope (3rd pic).

Used and cut. All pattern pieces are present. Plus instructions.

The envelope is yellowed and has crimps & tears.

Note: Pattern is a vintage size which may differ from a current day size.
Please refer to these measurements as given on the pattern envelope.
Although made in US, they are metric sizes (I used Google to convert to inches)

Chest: 69 cm (approx. 27")
Waist 60 cm (approx. 24")
Hips 71 cm (approx. 28")

Although I found no date this dress looks to be from the 1950s.

Returns & exchanges

Please notify me on the day you receive your item it you have a problem with your purchase.

Because most of my inventory is clothing, I do not accept returns because an item doesn't fit. I carefully post measurements so you can check to be sure the garment will work. I will refund if I've made an error.

I strongly suggest you ask me to purchase shipping insurance on breakables. I do pack very carefully and well, but I cannot be responsible for breakable items once they leave my care.

Additional policies

I have a huge inventory of all kinds of vintage items, especially vintage clothing and accessories. If you are looking for anything at all, please ask.

I will sell wholesale lots....what do you want? Just ask.

HOW I MEASURE:

With garment lying flat, chest/bust is measured approx. 1/2" below armpit seam, side-to-side, then doubled. Shoulder measurement is from sleeve seam to sleeve seam across shoulders. Torso length is measured from top shoulder seam at neck opening to natural waistline. Garment length is measured from top shoulder seam at neck opening to hem. Skirt length is measured from natural waistline to hem. Sleeve length is measured from center back neck opening, across shoulder, then down to sleeve hem. Pants length (inseam) is measured from crotch seam to hem. Rise is from waist (band) to crotch seam. Overall pants length is from waist (band) to leg hem, along outside seam.
