I love a uniform! These little uniforms are reminders of days gone by when nurses looked like this. This pattern has three sleeve variations, two caps and in addition, the ubiquitous cape. The whole ensemble is completely lined with the exception of the long sleeves and as a result, the finished look is very smooth and professional.
This pattern may not be for the beginner as there are no drawings in the instructions; only well-written directions. There are; however, the usual pattern pieces. If you have the assistance of an experienced seamstress, you will probably be successful.
I have a background in design, dressmaking and tailoring. When my little granddaughter, Sydney, asked for a doll that was 'easy to dress', I pulled out an American Girl catalog, she selected Kirstin, and I was off and running. So a few years and many patterns later, here I am anxious to share my wares with you.
This pattern is a winner and brings a great deal of joy!
