Many years ago one of the fiber groups I used to sit in with suggested I try making sewing needles for fiber artists. They knew by trade that I was a Silversmith. After some samples went thru the group what you see was hands down the functional winner.
Hand twisted and hand wrought from 16 gauge sterling silver wire on a small anvil creates a sturdy and very pretty addition to a fiber artists collection of tools. The finished needle is a solid 10 gauge thickness. As a fiber artist myself I always have my eyes peeled for the next fun and useful tool or device. Needle length measures 3" to 3 1/4" long. The eye of the needle averages 7mm. Since these are all hand wrought there may be a subtle difference between the needles. 🌞If you need a needle of a different length or eye a different size contact me to see what I have available🌞
