Shipping & policies
SHIPPING NOTE: Buyers (and even traders) are responsible for reading shop policies and noting the shipping times, especially for custom and made-to-order items, which include ALL bottlecaps, bottlecap jewelry, soaps and lotion bars, and ALL party favors, except those that are otherwised marked as ready-to-ship.
INTERNATIONAL: I will not guarantee arrival within ANY time frame of international shipments. International buyers purchase with agreement to these terms. All made-to-order items will take 2 weeks to make and whatever length of time is normal for first class international. I do not use priority or overnight.
CONFIRMED ADDRESSES: Because of Paypal's inclination to be pro-Buyer, even when lost packages are not the Seller's fault, I will ONLY ship to a confirmed address (if you need me to ship to another address, you must change and confirm this through Paypal first). I am NOT responsible for lost packages, and in the case of a non-delivery, I will provide the tracking information to both Etsy and Paypal to show that I shipped the package. If you feel that you need to purchase insurance, please contact me to add that to the order.
These may take up to 2 weeks to MAKE unless you have convo'd me about a rush order and I have AGREED to it in writing. That is, made-to-order items take TWO WEEKS to make and ONE week to ship, within the continental U.S.
RUSH ORDERS will have a $15.00 rush charge to push up ONE WEEK (ie. if I agree to a rush order on a Monday, it will go out the next Monday).
EXPEDITED ORDERS wil have a $20 rush charge to push before all other orders and go out within THREE BUSINESS DAYS by Priority Mail.
I do not do anything quicker than the EXPEDITED and I do not do overnight shipping. If you need 2-or-3-day Fedex, that cost will also be passed on to you before I start the order. Upgrade payments due via my Paypal at firstname.lastname@example.org immediately or they will be included within the CUSTOM LISTING or I will not start on your order until paid, which means your order will be pushed back every day I do not have payment.
I DO NOT always accept rush or expedited orders, so you must convo me before simply purchasing and making the request in the Buyer's Notes. Your order WILL be refunded if we have not spoken about this prior to your order. I only accept rush and expedited orders for orders over $50 and I only accept two rush orders per week. I rarely accept expedited orders - typically they have to be an order of $100 or more.
READ THIS: Shipping time is IN ADDITION to the 2-week assembly time, typically one week. So, my listing information should be interpreted as it takes two weeks to make plus whatever shipping time is needed to get from Virginia, USA to you.
I will NOT ship to a different address than is listed on your order. If you need a different shipping address, you must change it first in Etsy. This protects me from erroneous shipping issues.
Leaving negative feedback because you did not read my policies or leave enough time to order is against Etsy policies. You would not be able to order items from any other online merchant and expect immediate shipping without paying for an expedite, so please do not expect this from a handmade merchant.
I ship every 4-10 business days for ready-made items, so please plan 10-14 days for receipt of your order. International orders will take longer. I often get these shipped sooner, but I am a homeschooling mom, and we are often out and about traveling during the week, including out-of-the country.
Every seller is different, so please note that my shipping times may differ from others. If you purchased from a commercial party store, expect to pay higher prices for Chinese-made cheap items and except to pay $17 or more for expedited shipping plus processing time.
For some items, the shipping may seem high. That's because I package all of my items so that they end up to the destination in the best shape possible - ie. USPS has a tendency to smoosh things - so I use bubble wrap or tissue, inner boxes or packaging, etc. S&H includes costs of both the shipping and handling process (packaging, etc.) and other expenses associated with the handling of your item. In your package, you may also see recycled inner bubble packaging - and when possible, I use recycled paper or totally "green" envelopes, try to reuse boxes (checking to be sure they are clean and smell crisp and papery), and when possible, I ship in smaller packaging to decrease my transportation footprint (ie. smaller package means smaller postal/shipping vehicle). However, I never skimp on quality. Please don't be concerned if you receive a Pop Tart box instead of a USPS box. I upcycle, recycle and try to be green when I can, particularly in shipping.
I also tend to offer low prices on the product/art because I need to take greater care with the shipping process to make sure the items arrive safely. Prices differ depending on the type of beads, size of containers, types of ingredients, cost of graphics, etc.
Paypal and credit cards are our only method of payment allowed, unless previously discussed. "Other" is for Trades only. NO money orders and absolutely NO personal checks.
GIFT CERTIFICATE NOTE: Gift certificates and credit can be used on in-stock items only. Gift certificates cannot be used for custom orders or party favors.
Custom and "Matchy" order options are found in the shop. Other special requests cost additional, otherwise everything "varies" (beads, images, patterns, etc.). We now charge $3.00 more for "one of each character" requests and $15.00 more for pattern, image, specific character, color requests, cap color requests, etc. per order. These costs are due to our graphics being prefabricated PDF files, so we cannot manipulate them to just print certain images. Therefore, we have to print up to a dozen sheets in order to accommodate one 12-bracelet special request order, and some of those sheets may go wasted, should the next customer want a "variety." Other requests changes often require more expensive supplies (colored caps or certain beads). We do not offer all rhinestone flecked round beads for any listing.
If you are doing a cap-only order and want a hole punched and a jump ring, it is also 50 cents more per cap. Unless stated in the listing, all caps are chrome/silver color.
All pearl is $1.00 additional per bracelet, unless already set up as a pearl or pearl-inclusive order. The faux pearl prices have really increased over the past year, so unfortunately, we cannot accommodate all-pearl requests without charging more.
We CANNOT do same character/image requests for entire orders unless it is already a one-character sheet. We can accommodate themes on the sheet (all pink, for example) for a 50 cent surcharge for cap. Again, It is too much printing of pre-fabricated image sheets, and too much paper would be wasted. We try our best to run a "green" company (including using some recycled mailers), so we do not do this. Some character options come with all of the same images, so please browse the shop for options (ie. Fancy Nancy will vary in image, but the Pirate Ship ones will be all of the same image). When in doubt, ask first.

Should you find an item broken or not to your satisfaction, please contact me before leaving negative feedback so that we can discuss the matter. Once you leave neutral or negative feedback, my incentive to work with you is greatly diminished.
I am happy to fix jewelry items free of charge if they are sent to me in a new condition. I do not fix jewelry that has been worn over a period of time. My jewelry party favors are NOVELTY items, just like ANY party store. They are meant to be worn 1-3 times, as a novelty, pretend-play item. They will not last forever, and the bottlecaps will come up if hit, twisted, pulled or run though a sleeve or glove. Please compare to any other $1-3 party favor from a party store before complaining. If you want an item made with sturdier materials, this would not be a typical party-favor price range and my goal is to provide a nice, party-favor product.
If you wish to exchange something to be redone, due to my error, that service is free of charge. However, if you wish for an order to be redone due to your error, there is a $15 surcharge plus whatever upgrades are required (if you decide you want a different image, bead color or cap). I do not reimburse shipping unless it is my error. I am very clear in my listings, announcements, policies and other information. You are responsible for understanding individual Etsy shop policies before ordering. They are unique to each store. This also applies for cancellation after an order has been started, with a $15 cancellation fee.
Personalized items are NOT returnable.
Lip glosses and glitter gels are not returnable (nor would they be in most stores, due to the personal/hygenic nature of the product). I am a small business, so I cannot "eat" costs like Amazon or large companies.
Should you wish to have a refund because items did not arrive by the delivery date, items must be returned in the same condition I sent them - ie. mint, in bags, and cannot have been stored or held in a smoking home or in a car where someone has been smoking, or I will not refund. HOWEVER, if I show a ship date within 1 week of your party (or earlier if a rush/expedite order), I am not required to refund you because I have proof of shipping. If USPS shows record/track of your delivery, but it was stolen or you can't find it, I am definitely not required to refund you. If USPS tracking trails off and shows shipping and transportation but no delivery, you will need to contact your local post office and give sufficient time for the item to find its way to you or be returned to me, before I will refund you. I have had several instances where customers have both kept the item and been given a refund, and this would not be fair to me. Because of those few issues, there is a wait time for refund, and I will provide tracking in a Paypal or credit card dispute. I keep very good records of every transaction, from conversations and emails to tracking.
