Unfortunately, this cute little fatty has given up the ghost - but since the 126 film that it takes is decades out of production, that doesn't really matter anyway.
Produced in large quantities between 1972 and 1977, the Kodak 56X Instamatic is part of an iconic range of viewfinder designs. The Instamatic series of cameras introduced ever-larger masses to photography with its exceedingly simple operation and cutesy looks.
Though the film advance and shutter are stuck, this 56X still deserves a home as a display camera - or perhaps even as a film prop or a kid's toy? I know I would have loved it when I was young.
