100gms hand painted 75% Merino 25% Nylon, a fingering weight yarn with approximately 400 metres length. This yarn is very soft and can be used for accessories such as shawls, scarves or gloves. As it contains nylon this also gives it enough durability to make it ideal for sock knitting.
This yarn is hand painted in delicate shades of beige, cream red with a hint of yellow. Using acid dyes variations of colour will be seen throughout the skein giving a variegated colour effect.
I hand paint each skein so they are unique.
This skein is inspired by one of my favourite knitters and character of fiction Miss Marple. Bertrams Hotel where she stays during one of her adventures is renowned for its serving of Afternoon Tea. I imagine her eating salmon sandwiches and scones with strawberry jam whilst gossiping about the latest events.
The wool in this yarn is the Merino breed of sheep. The yarn has been super wash treated for ease of washing.
Washing Instructions: Every effort has been made to reduce colour leakage but please be aware some may occur due to the hand dyeing process. Hand washing in lukewarm water only is recommended.
All photographs are in natural light. Please be aware that all computer monitors display colours differently and the yarn may vary from what you see. However, every effort has been made to ensure the photography is an accurate representation of the yarn for sale.
All yarns are stored in a smoke and pet free environment
Nice yarn and some yummy treats too, thank you Sara

I am so pleased to have this lovely skein of "Afternoon Tea at Bertram's" (one of my favorite Miss Marple mysteries)! It's soft and squishy and begs to be knitted into a Lace cowl or scarf. Thank you so much!! 💕🍰☕️ xx
