This listing is for 2 ounces of beautiful, light gray organic roving. It is from a ewe named Abby that was born and raised on our land. This ewe is a cross with a Shetland mama and a BFL dad. I find this to be the easiest roving for me to spin. The staple length is 6 inches and it seems to slide out of my hands into yarn. Great early or beginning spinner's roving. There is hardly any VM in this fleece, though there is a tiny bit, as they lived outside in pasture. The first photo is of Abby in the summer, grazing in the pasture with her flock. The second is during her shearing for the wool you are purchasing.
I have another listing with Abby's lamb wool roving, and this listing is for her as a one-year old.
My wool is processed at Yampa Valley Fiber Mill in Craig, Colorado and the sheep are raised at my home in Durango, Colorado.
