Yes, but it also depends on the level of difficulty of the DIY kit that you're interested in. It would be great if you contact me in case you are not sure about the level of difficulty VS your experience in paper modeling. The Paper Model of Iron Man's helmet and Camel Head Trophy is for beginners to experienced folks. However, I wouldn't recommend the T90 Paper Model for beginners as it is a very detailed Paper Model and requires some paper modeling experience.
Yes, I frequently conduct paper modeling workshops for kids of age group 8 years and above and they do good: Refer this video from one of my workshops: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78MfsAWkXHc&t=5s But it still depends on the DIY kit that you are downloading. The Iron Man's helmet & Camel Head Trophy is something that an 8 years old can easily handle.
■ Printer or your local print shop ■ A3 Paper (280-300 gsm) ■ Cutting tool ■ Scoring tool (the dull side of a craft knife, dried out ball pen, etc.) ■ Ruler ■ White glue ■ Masking Tape ■ Curiosity to learn
Paper: I usually mention this detail on the PDF file that you download. But generally speaking, the paper varies from 180GSM to 300GSM depending on the paper craft that you want to make. Glue: Quick drying white glue! (mundane quick drying wood glue, or Aileen's, or Elmer's, or Mod Podge, or Indian Fevicol and so on). I wouldn't recommend: glue sticks nor transparent liquid glues.
Go to your local copy store / printer shop with a thumb drive. They usually have a wide range of paper of various weights. They will print your template for you.
In this shop, you will find PDF patterns you can turn into paper Models. Nothing physical will be sent to you. After a few seconds of your purchase, you will be able to download a PDF File OR a word document that contains URL of my Google Drive and step-by-step instructions that will help you to download the actual files for making the paper model. (This is because Etsy wouldn’t allow me to upload files that are more than 20MB whereas T90 files are more than 100MB big) Do not worry, your money is safe and before you know it, you will download the official DIY Templates for the paper model that you're interested in Feel free to contact me in case you have any confusion, I'll be happy to help :)
