Weight: 1.10 Carat + 2.55 Carat = 3.65 carats. Dimensions: 8x6x4mm / 12x8x6mm. Very small inclusions. On the Mohs scale hardness: 7 to 7.5. Crystal system: Hexagonal. Tourmaline comes from bengali or the Sinhalese "Turamali" which means mixed colored stone. or Thoramalli or Turmali "stone of various colors". Tourmaline occurs in magmatic, metamorphic rocks and in hydrothermal veins pegmatites warm at a temperature of 800 °. It is part of the cyclosilicates family. It crystallizes in the trigonal Crystal system rhombohedral network chopsticks or needles elongated triangular section. It forms prismatic crystals Allen, alternately wide and narrow sides, giving a pretty triangular section. Tourmalines have a vitreous luster and varied colors. They are insoluble in acids.
