Pin Loom Weaving Wrap-around Shawl Pattern
by Marcella Edmund
The Wrap-around Shawl has a clever design for a garment that is comfortable and stays on. The lower part of the shawl wraps around the hips and fastens with a button, and the upper part drapes elegantly from the shoulders.
The basic shawl requires 76 pin loom squares, for a medium fit. The addition of more squares allows for other sizing.
The models’ cloth was woven on the Skipper Loom, which has fewer pins than the Zoom Loom. This weaving gives a soft drape to the fabric.
