This splishy-splashy turtle hotpad is a great introduction to slip stitch mosaic knitting. If you know how to knit and slip stitches, this pattern is for you! Pattern includes a written formatting for each row, along with a full sized chart at the end. There is a summary included of how mosaic knitting works in case it's new to you to make it easy to jump in and get started.
Beginner friendly, this can be knit up in cotton to make a washcloth or dishcloth, or in acrylic as a cute blanket panel.
This pattern has been tested - testers found it worked up very quickly, about 4 hours from start to finish. This is a great housewarming or hostess gift, and easy enough to work up and keep on hand for last minute gift ideas.

Supplies: Yarn: Worsted weight or DK cotton yarn, ~80 yards total. Sample used roughly 55 yards of the green, and 50 yards of the black in cotton worsted weight yarn.
Needle: US 6 (4 mm) - gauge isn't too important, so feel free to go up or down for a different sized outcome.
Notions: Yarn needle for weaving in ends.
Sizes: With recommended yarn & needles, your summer Turtle will come out roughly 10" x 10". This is easily adjusted by switching up yarn weight and/or needles used.
