Item details

Super soft, extra fine combed British Ecru and Oatmeal BFL wool tops, perfect for either spinning or felting. These tops are at a slightly lower price than usual as there were some breaks towards one end of the ecru fibre when I received it from my supplier. It will still spin or felt absolutely fine.

These lengths of ecru and naturally brown roving have been hand dyed with semi solid mid blues, violet purples and magenta in a gradient style. The soft colour allows the natural tone of the oatmeal wool to show through.

You will receive one length each of the same gradient colourway dyed on ecru and oatmeal BFL. Spin both as singles and ply together for a tweedy effect. Alternatively you could spin and ply each separately and knit alternately to stripe. Picture 5 shows a sample of fibre dyed in the same way with the 2 singles N plied together to make a bulky yarn on the left and plied together to a dk weight on the right.

Approx 115g. Cool gentle handwash unless aiming to felt.

Colourway: Berrylicious #3

Items will usually be posted out first class within 3 working days after payment clears. International orders are shipped by air mail. Patterns are posted in stiff board 'do not bend' envelopes and stitch markers will be sent in organza gift bags in padded envelopes. If you are ordering items over the value of £40 I would recommend recorded delivery for which an extra charge will be made - please let me know at the time of ordering if you would like this and I will let you know how much extra this will cost..

Most orders are shipped in fully biodegradeable mailing bags sourced within the UK. The tissue paper I use for wrapping is acid free.

Payment is accepted through PayPal or by direct debit/credit card or Etsy gift card. If an item is purchased but not paid for within 72 hours I reserve the right to relist the item for sale.

Returns & exchanges

If for any reason you are not happy with any purchase please notify me as soon as possible so I can try to resolve the issues. I will happily exchange or refund so long as the item is returned in the condition in which it was sent out.
Items that are lost in the post - please let me know if your item does not arrive within a reasonable timescale. (Royal Mail will not accept that a parcel is missing until 15 days from posting). Please be aware that adverse weather conditions, airport closures etc can have an impact upon delivery times.

Additional policies

The yarns I produce are painted in small batches with fibre reactive or acid dyes and there may therefore be some variation between skeins. Please order enough to complete your project.
I try to use photgraphs that show the true colour of the yarn but please be aware that all computer monitors vary and therefore you may not see exactly what I see here!
Although I rinse all yarns until the water is clear it is advisable to wash separately for the first few washes. All weights and meterages are approximate and as stated by my suppliers.
Custom orders are welcome - please open a conversation. I usually request a deposit with the balance payable when the finished item is listed.
