Look what the tide washed up! You know how a cloud can look like different objects? Driftwood can do the same thing. Is this an aviator’s emblem? A patch on a Harley rider’s jacket? The mythical Phoenix?
This is one of many amazing pieces of surf and sand sculpted driftwood pieces I found lying on the beach near my home in the Pacific Northwest.
It has been sitting with the other amazing driftwood on the shelf for several years. All of these found treasures can be kept as nature made them or used to create new art. Other pieces can be seen at https://www.etsy.com/shop/TrueNorthDriftwood .
This driftwood piece is 11 by 5.25 by 2 inches and weighs 5.2 ounces. The only alteration I made was to brush off the sand.
The color you see on the screen may not be the exact color of the driftwood. Without a calibration tool, all screens are at least little bit off real color.
Whenever possible the driftwood pieces are shipped in recycled packing materials. This helps keep the costs down and our environment healthy.
