Here is a beautiful and colorful pattern agate from my home state of Montana, cut by my husband Kelly. It is known as "Dryhead Agate" after Dryhead Creek where it was collected. It is known for its colors of orange, salmon, chocolate browns and lacy white patterns, often containing drusy pockets. Sadly, this material is no longer being collected or mined (to my knowledge), so the rough is getting more and more expensive.
This free-form egg shaped cabochon is:
49 mm Long
26 mm wide
4 mm thick
2.5 mm polished bezel/girdle area.
The backs of Kelly's cabochons are not polished.
All photos were taken under various natural light conditions (diffuse and direct light)
As far as is possible, we strive to provide as accurate colors as can be achieved in our photos. Having said that, color may vary significantly from one computer monitor to the next.
