This handwoven, vintage sari (saree) is gorgeous. It is a beautiful dark, rusty red color with intricate gold thread woven through it. The design of gold brocade and is intricate and amazing. It is from Varanasi, India (I purchased it there, myself). It is 6 meters long by 109cm wide of fabric (6.5 yards x 43in). The man who had it in his shop for a long time had it stored in a box that had a window in it, which caused some sun damage to the fabric. I have photographed the sun damaged spots.
The possibilities for this fabric are endless! On the pictures, you'll see that the fabric has 2 different patterns. On one end there is about a meter of the larger design (see the first and 3rd picture), and the rest of the fabric is the other smaller design (see the second picture).
Thank you for taking a look at my shop. Please do let me know if you have any questions.
