Item details

Simplicity sewing pattern - 1966 - Woman's hip-skirt in two lengths and hip-trousers - used

Pattern number 6451

To fit size 14 waist 26" hips 36"

The trousers and A-line skirts are made to be worn 1" below normal waistline. They feature shaped yoke, side zipper and top-stitching trim.
View 1 skirt is regular length.
View 2 skirt is 3" shorter than regular length skirt.

Fabric suggestions - cottons and blends; duck, denim, corduroy, sailcloth, chino. Linen. Synthetics and blends; poplin, cotton homespun, textured cottons. Wools and blends; flannel.

Condition - This is a lovely pattern that needs a bit of work. First of all, pattern piece B (skirt yoke front) and pattern piece D ( skirt yoke back) have small tears and holes but are usable. Pattern piece A (skirt front) has been cut vertically almost in half but can be re-taped together again and possibly may need some adapting.
On a good note, although it has been used, the pattern is complete and the skirt has been cut for view 2 (short length) but the off-cuts are included. The main trouser pattern pieces are unused although the yoke pieces have been cut out.
The instructions are discoloured along the edges and folds.
The envelope is a little creased and crumpled and is also a little discoloured. Hate getting rid of altered patterns so have priced low in case someone can give it a good home - ideal for an experienced dressmaker or someone who likes a challenge

Returns & exchanges

If the item is not suitable or you wish to cancel, please do not hesitate to contact me to arrange this

Goods returned must be in the same condition they were sent out in. Vintage patterns by their very nature will not be perfect so unless I have grossly misrepresented the facts about the pattern (which I jolly well hope not) the return postage is not reimbursed

In the case of the unused patterns, unless they are faulty I cannot accept these back if they have been used by the recipient
