I'm happy to offer you my new pattern and step-by-step tutorial showing all my knowledge and secrets of the teddy bear making process, including polymer clay nose, bear face haircut, and needle-felted eyelids that raised so many questions from my dear readers and friends in bearmaking. More useful tips and tricks, more pictures, more information you can use in your creations!
This is a downloadable PDF version of Stacy Teddy Bear pattern and exhaustive instructions in English that will help you to sew a beautiful smiling teddy bear.
Please note, that the price and the listing are for PDF pattern and tutorial only, not for the toy!
After purchase, you will be able to download two PDF files to your computer. The files include the teddy bear pattern, the list of materials and tools needed to make a bear by the pattern, and all the necessary instructions with more than 330 photos of the bearmaking process illustrating every step and all difficult parts to make the instructions absolutely clear even for people having little experience in sewing teddy bears.
In the PDF files you will find the following: - pattern (2 pages A4), full sized to sew an 8 inches (20.5 cm) teddy bear - you may print the pattern enlarged, and choose materials of proper size to sew a larger bear - list of materials and tools you will need to make a teddy bear by the pattern - more than 100 pages of detailed instructions with photos - more than 330 photos illustrating the process of making the teddy bear
Table of contents: - Pattern to print - List of tools and materials you need to sew the bear - Part 1 - Preparation for sewing - defining nap direction, transferring pattern to the fabric, cutting - Part 2 - Sewing the bear - stitches, sewing hands, legs, head and body, ears and tail - Part 3 - Turning inside out & inserting joints - Part 4 - Wiring and stuffing limbs and pulling toes - Part 5 - Stuffing the head and working on the face - stuffing and needle-sculpting the head, embroidering the mouth, haircut on the bear face, attaching eyes, making eyelids from wool, attaching ears, making the bear's nose from polymer clay - Part 6 - Assembling the bear and stuffing the body - attaching limbs and the head, stuffing the body - Part 7 - Finishing the bear - painting the bear paws and face, and varnishing the nose
Skill level - the pattern is quite easy to work with. Needle-felting of the bear eyelids might be difficult for beginners, but I believe the detailed instructions allow you to make the teddy bear even if you are not an experienced teddy bear maker.
Note: Please keep in mind that the bear you will sew according to the instructions will be a collectable thing. It will not be a toy and will NOT be suitable for small children because of small parts like glass eyes, glass beads, etc.
Note: Please do not copy the pattern & instructions, do not sell it, publish it online or distribute it another way. You are welcome to sell bears made from the pattern with reference to the pattern’s author.

Another beautiful pattern, I've yet to start making this one but just reading it I can see the attention to detail is fantastic. I've made both of Olga's others other patterns (several times each now) and even being a novice I've had great success. I have no doubt this is due to the exceptional quality of the patterns she produces, each one is like a book in bear making! Thank you Olga, I hope there are many more to come! :D
