This is a fun piece of raw driftwood that nature made into art. A person can imagine lots of different things it might look like. Maybe its a flying dog or swimming dog or a sea creature. Or what?
It is one of many amazing pieces of sea-sculpted wood I found lying on the beach near my home in the Pacific Northwest. I’ve collected these prizes over the years. This piece has been sitting on a shelf for several years with other pieces of driftwood that the surf and sand carved into art. Some of them can be seen on this Etsy website under TrueNorthDriftwood .
This example of nature’s art is 15 inches diagonally from tip to tail; from the nose to the back of the head is 6 inches, from the top of the head to the tail is 11 inches, the head is 3 inches at the widest part, the body is 4 inches in circumference. It weighs 11.8 ounces. My alteration of this driftwood sculpture was to brush off the sand.
The color you see on the screen may not be the exact color of the driftwood.
Whenever possible the driftwood pieces are shipped in recycled packing materials. This helps keep the costs down and our environment healthy.
