Like the idea of upcycling? Don't need everything to be brand new? This is the way to be crafty and use materials already in existence, plus, there is an amazing satisfying feeling to making it yourself.
I could never afford the original kit (150.00+) for this gorgeous knee rug blanket. Over the years, I collected various bits and pieces, I now have to admit that I don't have time to make it.
Included in this listing: The wool is from a vintage blankey. Invicta brand. They have minor moth damage, not actual holes. I have included a very close matching wool thread that can be used to darn those areas. It will give it a patchy, shabby, vintage look. 85x85cm (slightly smaller than called for)
Quilting fabric 1.5 x 1.1m new, washed.
A selection of DMC embroidery wools and threads are vintage Clarks. Some beads also. These are not the specific things called for in the pattern, but are very close match. You might need to add one or two colours.
Inspirations magazine issue 49 from 2006. One pattern sheet has been detached and one is intact. There is a slight adhesive mark on the cover. Include many other projects such a a wool bear, needlecase, and goldwork. This magazine is great because it has step by step instructions for every stitch.
