Item details

This listing is for an Aurora Top Coat set, a quartet of iridescent glitter top coats, meant for layering over other polishes. The four Aurora Top Coats are named after planetary auroras.
You'll receive either a 15mL or a 7.5mL bottle of each color, depending on which size set you choose.

Aurora Australis is named after the Southern Lights, and shifts from orange through gold and green. Pictures of the Southern Lights frequently show beautiful shades of red, orange, yellow, and green.

Aurora Borealis is named after the Northern Lights, and shifts from cool green through turquoise and blue. Pictures of the Northern Lights frequently show shades ranging from bright green through violet, but the few times I’ve glimpsed it myself, it’s been shades of blue and green.

Venusian Aurora is named after Venus’s diffuse aurora effect (not concentrated at the poles, as Venus lacks magnetic poles), which is believed to be caused by solar flares, and looks green from Earth. Venusian Aurora shifts from cool green through warm green and gold.

Jovian Aurora is named after the intense auroras of Jupiter, and the color choice inspired by images of Jupiter’s northern aurora from the Hubble in ultraviolet and the Chandra X-ray Observatory. Jovian Aurora shifts from turquoise to light blue through violet.

Several wonderful ladies were kind enough to review this polish, and the swatch pictures of this polish are from three of those ladies!

The second picture is a compilation of four pictures from Courtney of @nails_by_courtney.s (on Instagram). Her pictures show one thick coat of each of the Aurora Top Coats over black. You can find all of her pictures of this collection and her swatch videos for it on her feed.

The third picture is a compilation of four pictures from Lisa of Cosmetic Sanctuary and show one coat of each of the Aurora Top Coats over black. Her review is here:

The last picture shows what the 15mL and 7.5mL bottles will look like.

Aurora Australis, Aurora Borealis, Venusian Aurora, and Jovian Aurora are custom polishes, made from scratch with nail lacquer base and iridescent glitter. Starlight Polish is 5 free, meaning free of DBP, toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, and camphor, and contains no carmine or other animal-derived pigments.
