Up for sale are 50 vintage pages from an 1808 copy of The New Universal Gazetteer.
These pages are 209 years old, with some age toning, but are NOT brittle. Up until the 1850s "paper" was made from recycled linen and cotton rags, so these 200 year old pages are actually in better condition than some from a couple of decades ago.
I am a book woman at heart and find it very difficult to break up any book this age, but it was an old tattered, disbound library copy that was missing pages, and was destined for the recycle bin. I chose to salvage what I could and offer this unique item for your use.
I have laser printed an image on the top page of the set, to give you an idea how well this holds up to handling.
These pages are incredible! A lexicon from the past in amazingly good shape. Thank-you!
