Knit a charming wedding dress for your 11 1/2" fashion doll (what we all call a Barbie)--or your daughters' or granddaughters'. The pattern and knitting techniques used are pretty simple: what most magazines would probably call 'advanced beginner'.
The pattern includes the wedding dress (which could also be a ball gown); a shorter version for bridesmaids' dresses (or strapless sundresses); an evening dress (you could make it shorter to make a nice dress, too, but I haven't included instructions. Just stop it the way the bridesmaids' dresses stop).
The finished dresses are small enough they aren't for small children (but I don't think a barbie is, either). Because the top of the dress is very stretchy, it is easy for small hands to dress and undress the dolls (it is also easy for the dolls to have 'wardrobe malfunctions' while playing with them!) My Grandma sewed me a wonderful barbie wardrobe when I was a kid. I think this is my continuation of the tradition.
Includes only a digital file of the 4 page pattern booklet (which does have photos of the finished items). Does not include the dolls or finished clothes.
