Product description: Acrylic compression acrylic adhesive tape with aerospace technology. Durable product, single coated with a highly aggressive acrylic pressure - sensitive adhesive. White crepe release coated paper liner. Remains flexible, resistant to cracking and lifting. Conforms to irregular/curved surfaces. Thickness allows high pressure when folding various metals, stretching metal on mandrels, reduction die protection, push-rod / press block compression protection so not to mar the coin or metal being worked on, put on the tips of all push-rods, and so much more whether working with coin ring crafting or other high compression projects where you want to provide that extra protection where needed in your craft. This tape is so strong, it's also used in sand blasting, clean removal after blasting. 30 ounces per inch adhesion. 4.0 mils White paper release coated liner. Application: Designed primarily for coin ring artisan work and for all high impact metal bending, folding, pressing, etc for protective masking of surfaces but has many, many application uses.

Note: No, this isn't meant to last forever and will need to be replaced after several uses, reductions, stretching, pressing, etc and how often it needs to be replaced all depends on how many rings/jewelry you are pumping out. I'm knocking out around a hundred rings a month so I go through a lot. Everyone is different but for that very professional finish without marring or scratching up your coin rings and tooling, you'll save a ton. I can't tell you how many reduction dies I've lost due to pressing down just a tiny bit more than I should in the reduction process or how many coins (especially the reeded side) I jacked up prior to using this. The Aerospace tape will take the place of much of the boat load of Teflon tape you would normally use as well. In short, you're going to save money and turn out the best looking coin ring art using this!
