This is a segmented wooden pen made from 16 individual precision-cut pieces of long-leaf pine. The wood was reclaimed from an antebellum Georgia barn. The wood is partially dyed black to accentuate the natural grain pattern. The wood is sealed with cyanoacrylate which provides a high-gloss, hard, durable finish that will survive years of regular use. The pen's components are solid metal, plated with a thick layer of chrome. The pen is operated by an internal twist mechanism. It comes with a black Cross-style refill, and can be refilled by the owner as often as needed with many colors of ink.
