When you turn the handle with your fingertip, the doomed fish makes its last stand. The motif comes from Japanese old saying “Carp on the chopping board.“ This movement is made by "cam".

I originally purchased this model as a kit back in 2003 while visiting Japan! It has entertained many of my students and friends over the years. It is a classic design for any "fish" lover especially SUSHI! Keisuke's models are brilliantly designed to assemble and operate ... I HIGHLY recommend exploring the world of Karakuri/Automata with his models (... I have them ALL :) !!!) Enjoy!!!
