I've alway had a passion for scalloped edges and this pattern puts one to good use. They used a scalloped eyelet, which is so, so pretty, but you can also use any fabric and still get a scalloped edge just by cutting a facing and then draw and sew the scallop in before you turn the facing to the inside. using a pretty sheer over the dress is also a great idea. What a fun pattern with lots of possibilities.
Suggested fabrics: Cotton and cotton blends, gingham, laundered cottons, batiks, chambray, pique, seersucker, sateen, eyelet, soft lightweight linen and linen blends. A overlay in galloon-edged lace, galloon-edged eyelet. B, C overlay in organza, sheer fabrics.
