Marking a Milestone:

Long Live the Queen! is a cross stitch piece made to celebrate Her Majesty becoming the longest-reigning British Monarch, surpassing Her great great grandmother Queen Victoria.

On the left of the piece you can see Queen Elizabeth, in the Dorothy Wilding dress, holding the Sovereign´s ORB, gold set with Pearl and precios stones, 1661, which symbolises the Christian world. Next to it you can see the Sovereign´s Spectre delivered to Her by the Archbishop of Canterbury in Her Coronation ceremony.
Behind the Queen , you can see the British flag and the Coronation Crown.

In the background, WindsorCastle stands out majestically as the Queen´s offical residence with the Royal Standard flying on top, symbol of the presence of the Monarch in the palace.

On the centre-right , Queen Victoria Memorial is displayed as a homage to another great queen of Great Britain. In the piece you can see Queen Elizabeth looking at her great great grandmother monument as a sign of deference and respect.

To add to the beauty of the piece, the tulip gardens enhace this colourful and happy pattern.

Q: What fabric do you use for your samples?

All my stitched patterns are stitched on 25 count gridded evenweave, that wahes out easily. But naturally, it can be beautifully stitched on aida as well. Being the only stitcher of my samples, I love gridded fabric since I can stitch really fast and make fewer mistakes.

Q: I don´t cross stitch. Do you sell finished cross stitch patterns?

I´m currently too busy to take request for custom patterns. I may be available to do commissioned design work for magazines, books and publication. If you are interested in publishing my work, please convo me to discuss or email me at

Q: Can I sell a piece I´ve made from Teresa Gil Cross Stitch?
Yes! But only one! More than one is not cool. And if you do sell one, please give credit for the design to Teresa Gil Cross Stitch
