Vintage Pinking Shears - Original Box & Instructions - Lady Pink TRANS-O-MATIC 8" Model T/51 - Mint Condition from DecadencePast.
In the 50s, 60s & 70s our family didn't have much money; but my Mom knew how to sew (well enough to do it professionally at times). She taught us early on to respect everything on her sewing table - not just for safety reasons (with 5 little kids running around the house), but because she new how dear a dollar could be when it came to buying and maintaining good quality sewing supplies and tools.
One of the tings we were forbidden to touch were her pinking shears. She had a very heavy (almost clunky) older pair of WISS ones - and these finer ones which she received as a gift and kept in a box (rarely used).
This pair still has the original instruction flier and box. They are 8" "Lady Pink" shears made in the USA by Transomatic Corporation of America in Flemington, New Jersey. They feature "Chrome Finish, Metal & Plastic (coated for comfort) handles, Surgical Steel Blades and Precision Made" on the paperwork.
The condition is mint (and still sharp) - patent pending (no date) and the flier states they "will be repaired or replaced if in normal service they fail to perform" ...gosh, the good old days of USA made/manufacturer guaranteed products were swell!
I ship same or next business day following payment receipt and am happy to recalculate postage for combined orders.
First things first... I'm a FAST shipper! When I buy something online I'm anxious to receive it so I try not to make you wait any longer than necessary. Etsy shipping will give you a couple postage options and I always ship same or next business day following receipt of funds. I also package responsibly to ensure safe delivery.
If you desire extra insurance, please convo me before checkout so I can give you a quote and add it to the listing before you pay.
If you have ANY questions about shipping (or if the ship cost through Etsy checkout just doesn't look right), please don't hesitate to convo me so I can double check it for you.
Combined shipping to one address is available for multiple purchases between both shops.
Etsy direct checkout, Paypal or money orders are accpetable. Personal checks are fine as long as you don't mind waiting 'till funds clear. If a check's returned NSF, I'll ask you to cover the bank fee - it's only fair.
If you're not using Paypal or Etsy instant payment, please let me know so I'll know when to expect your remittance.
Payment is expected within 3 days of sale date; but I'm happy to make layaway plans for purchases over $50. I realize there may be emergencies that crop up; so if for some reason the 3 day grace period can't work for you, please contact me so we can make other suitable arrangements.
