Vintage 1950s uncut sewing pattern with original factory folds from cover art to pattern paper and instructions! This is a 1950s era women's wedding dress Advance pattern number 5502. There are 2 different styles shown on the envelope: The wedding dress is long sleeved with a point at the wrist, peter pan collar and a front button bodice, the skirt is floor length with peplum and an over skirt. The option to make a strapless tea length cocktail dress with a front bow at the waist is also shown. The envelope is a little tattered and the glue on the back has discolored.
The majority of the patterns in my shop are previously used, and sold as is. I have hand checked that all pattern pieces are included and usable, unless specific problems are noted. Pattern pieces will have creases, cuts, and crumples consistent with previous use. They should, however, be suitable for sewing, once they are carefully removed and gently pressed with a warm iron.
Pattern envelopes tend to show more ware over the years than the patterns they hold, and will also often have creases, tears, yellowing and wear consistent with their age.
