Extra large hand whittled English oak pegs. These pegs will be between 50 and 80 years old and they are all different, and weathered. I have wrapped each one with my hand spun artyarn called 'Heather', a super soft chunky or bulky, artyarn. I have used Northern Ireland grown lamb-Romney fleece, Bluefaced Leicester and hand dyed and blended it with merino, silk, soya silk and a tiny amount of Angelina here and there to give a little sparkle. Added to this are small pops of colour using novelty yarns and ribbon, in aqua, lemon, rainbow, blue and pink.
Each peg measures between 5 and 6" long and approx. 1" diameter. So they are really chunky.
This is a super soft spongy yarn and 100 grams is approx. 65 yards (on average). Each peg is wound with approx. 12 grams.
This listing is priced for each peg.
Over all the colour is mainly Purples, with blues (light and dark, and navy), greens (light and dark), pinks (hot pink and bright pink), lemon, aqua and rainbow shades.
This is a 2 ply yarn, and both strands are hand spun thick-thin intentionally to give texture. There are also areas of lock spinning with Bluefaced Leicester lamb locks. So this is a highly textured and interesting yarn.
As with all my listings, if you over pay on postage, I will refund overpayment greater than £1, upon dispatch.
