Every design in this little collection is inspired by a single theme: The Flamenco Dress, typical form Andalusia.
Among all the traditional regional outfit, the flamenca dress is the only one that changes and adapts to fashion trends year after year. Although there are several constants in this traditional outfit such as frills, polka dots, lace or ribbons used in the skirt and sleeves fringes, each year designers create new proposals, inspired by the newest trends that fashion has to offer: frills are elongated, new fabric and patterns are used to innovate, sleeves and skirts get longer or shorter… And of course the accessories are also subject to change.

The star accessory for this dress is the shawl that the flamencas wear over the shoulders. The traditional shawl is fringed or tasseled in silk. I mean to add some degree of innovation to our outfit creating a complete collection of hand knit shawlettes in 100% mulberry silk and to substitute the traditional fringes for lace or knit fringes. An accessory that provides a different touch to the flamenco dress and a flamenca touch to a more casual street style that can be worn in the summer.
