Simplicity 7928 vintage 1986 pattern for a complete summer wardrobe for Barbie and other 11 1/2" fashion dolls, and a few duds for Ken, too. Included is: 1. Casual wear—for her: pedal pushers or crop pants with a middy blouse with a long tail; for him, elastic-waist pants and a t-shirt. 2. Beach wear—for her, a bikini top and board shorts with matching short sleeved shirt; for him, trunks and shirt with collar. And just for her (sorry, Ken, you'll have to wear something off the rack) 3. Evening wear—a strapless sheath dress. 4. Career wear—short-sleeved sheath dress with long jacket with wide, wide shoulders. 3. Chill wear—long and loose muumuu or caftan.
When I was a kid, my Barbies had clothes that matched mine, because each of these takes less than 1/4 yard of fabric —a great way to use up scraps and leftovers! That strapless dress would be terrific in silver or gold lamé or a patterned silk.
This original 1986 pattern is uncut and factory folded. The envelope is shopworn, but the pattern is clean and pristine. It comes to you in an archival acid-free clear sleeve for protected storage.
I check each pattern carefully to be sure it’s as described, but of course if you’re not happy, please let me know—I’ll fix it! If you have any questions, just ask.
