Item details

Hand Dyed Yarn ~ Black Sheep Dyeworks
100% Superwash Merino Wool ~ Sport Weight

Olive Oil Tonal: shades of deep golden olive, with tonal variations and a few flecks of cinnabar. Please note that I have tried to capture the color accurately, but my camera (and perhaps your monitor) may result in some variation.

• Each skein weighs 105g, approximately 351 yards
• Approximately 5 ½ to 6 stitches per inch on US #3-5 needles
• Hand dyed with color-fast acid dyes
• Machine or hand washable, dry flat

• Priced per skein. If multiple skeins are available, they are from the same batch
• In stock and ready to ship! Click dropdown arrow below price to see quantity currently available
• There may be some variation from skein to skein, even within the same batch. For best results, alternate skeins every few rows in projects using multiple skeins.

Smooth and soft, a treat to knit. Four plies with a rounded construction, providing excellent stitch definition. Great for heavier weight socks, children’s garments or accessories you may want to machine wash. One skein is generally enough for a pair of socks (do check your pattern first … this is heavier than standard sock yarn, and you may need more for large sizes and/or complex patterns).

FAQs

June 3, 2016: I have temporarily stopped shipping to some international destinations due to misleading information Etsy is displaying regarding VAT. VAT/GST is NOT included in the price of my yarns, regardless of the text Etsy has inserted below the price on my listings; rather, it is the responsibility of the buyer. VAT inclusion is 'not applicable' to me as a seller, as I'm not registered to collect VAT. If you would like to make a purchase, and don't see your country listed under 'ships to', please contact me - I'd be happy to set up a custom listing for you. My apologies for this confusing VAT statement on my listings; unfortunately Etsy will not correct or remove it.

Sorry, no active coupon codes at this time.

Additional policies

• Hand dyed yarns can vary from batch to batch, and sometimes even from skein to skein within the same batch. You can minimize effects of this (if desired) by alternating skeins every few rows in larger projects.
• When multiple skeins are available in a listing, they are from the same batch. Always purchase enough yarn to complete your project from the same batch (i.e., from the same listing) for maximum uniformity.
• Need more skeins than currently available in a listing? Love a colorway, but want it on a different base yarn? I'd be happy to dye more for you; please send me a convo for details.
