A beautiful 25g ball of textured variegated blue, green and brown hemp string which has been grown, harvested, spun and dyed in rural Nepal. It provides income for people living in rural areas.
The colours flow through brown blue and green. It has a beautiful uneven texture highlighting its handmade nature. These variations in thickness along the length of the string and also the occasional knot to join lengths are part and parcel of this.
I often use it to add colourful accents to my macrame and for tying parcels. It can be used for many other things including: jewellery making, gift wrapping, friendship bracelets, crochet and weaving, as well as everyday household string and garden twine.
