Minolta's oddball Vectis GX range was a forerunner to today's GoPro - rugged, simple, and meant for intensive outdoors use. This GX-1 pays testament to that by packing its own (detachable) fold-up tripod. I've never seen anything like it before - a flat contraption that folds out to produce a stable and adjustable footing!
Another very conspicuous feature is its design. Dark-blue rubber finishing, pronounced bolts around the lens, flowy '90s shapes and a mixture of several cool fonts on the front indicate that this camera is Seriously Cool Business. Its lens, to the contrary, is supposedly a fixed focus 27mm f/6.4 affair. The camera is splash proof.
Since this camera uses the obsolete APS format, I have not been able to test it. I figure it is mostly a display item anyway. If you do want to use it and it turns out broken, you will get a full refund!
