Item details

This little piece of fabric is the perfect cut for a bodice or corset . It caught my eye with the large yearns and basket weave , making it look very homemade . This makes it perfect for any lower class to middle class bodice you might be designing . It is very plain , which makes it so interesting ! The variety of colors and thicknesses of the yarns which only contributes to its homespun look !

Before the industrial revolution , fabrics were handwoven . This made them very expensive , which , in turn , made it so the lower classes might go about spinning and weaving their own fabrics.

This piece of fabric is sold as one piece . It measures 1 1/3 yards and 48" wide . The fabric cut is large enough to fit any size bodice you might be making , and , depending on the amount of fabric you use , you might have enough left over for a pair of sleeves !

FAQs

I do not currently have wholesale products, as most of the pieces I sell are unique and one-of-a-kind. The quantity of items posted are all I have in my inventory. I try to cater to those who work on a smaller, individual project scale. My customers are typically looking for that one button or that one pattern to complete their costume. My products are all backed with research and documentation as to their historicity, so customers can decide which item might be best suited for their historical project.
