Item details

Soft hand carded batting for spinning, felting or needle felting. With bright colours, this hand dyed wool would be great for any project.

Made from Jacob wool, grown in Maine, and Alpaca fibre grown in Alberta Canada. The Alpaca is dyed light purple and layered between the wool as I carded. The colour order was inspired by the bipride flag.

There are 4 - 1 oz batts, for a total of 4 oz of fibre in each set, with 2 sets available.

If you need another colour or have a great idea for a project and haven't found the prefect colour please send us a message. We might be able to dye it to match your needs

All my batts are created with wool primarily from Canada, breeds depend on what is available at the time of your order, with the occasional addition from fiber farmers in the US, when available.

My studio is a Pet and Child friendly place, all my wool is rinsed in clear water, after Dyeing.
Once the wool is dry, I card it on my vintage drum carder, and roll the batt into easy to manage, store and ship packages.

I made a video on how to prepare your batts for spinning, if this is something new to you. You can find it at https://www.facebook.com/SpunDreamz/videos/1897113603839168/
