Hot fun in the summertime, as Sly and the Family Stone say!
Butterick 5434 pattern from 1977 for women's tank top, keyhole neck t-shirt, and tie-neck t-shirt in size 12. The fitted tank top (or sleeveless t-shirt) has a scoop neckline and a shaped hemline—flattering to the hips. The tie-neck tank has a round neckline with short, set-in sleeves. The keyhole neck top has a bateau neckline (AKA boatneck) and a drop shoulder with no sleeves; this style of t-shirt is very popular again and you can find it in many higher-end women's clothing lines.
As a bonus, the pattern envelope also includes the original receipt from Minnesota Fabrics! The original cost was $1.75 in 1977, so I've priced it at the rough equivalent in 2017 dollars, just for fun. ;)
Suitable for moderate stretch knits such as cotton knit and jersey. Size 12 is a 34" bust, so smaller than modern patterns.
This original 1977 pattern is uncut and factory folded. The envelope is shopworn, but the pattern is clean and pristine. It comes to you in an archival acid-free clear sleeve for protected storage.
I check each pattern carefully to be sure it’s as described, but of course if you’re not happy, please let me know—I’ll fix it! If you have any questions, just ask.
