The Awesome Sewing and Travel Tote is a must-have for every sewist! This durable bag will tote all of your tools to class or retreat and can serve as a carry-all for weekends away. It can also be used as a carry-on for most airlines.
This listing is for a digital pattern to make this tote. This is not a finished project. In order to complete this project, the buyer will need a basic sewing machine and the materials listed in the pattern and general sewing tools.
This tote has 2 large pockets on the front and on the back, side pockets at each end, 2 side interior pockets and 2 large interior zipper pockets. The bottom is made from faux leather, leather, vinyl or pleather for durability. The tote has body and will hold its shape even after years of use. Bosal In-R-Form is recommended as the main stabilizer and is used along with Peltex. Both products are available at most quilt shops, as well as stores like JoAnn Fabrics.
The digital download includes all of the step-by-step instructions for making the tote including pictures to guide you on your way. The instructions also include a "cut sheet" showing how to cut fabrics and lay out the patterns on the stabilizers.
The finished bag is approximately 13" wide, 12" tall, and 9" deep. Be sure to print the handle patterns at full size. Turn off "Scaling" or "Fit to page" on the printer options when getting ready to print to get a full sized pattern.
This pattern is geared toward intermediate and advanced sewists.
