Downloadable pattern to make your own Ahsoka Tano headpiece! Includes 7 images & helpful notes for how to combine them.
You can draw in seam allowances on the pattern. For kids, draw the seam allowance IN the pattern, for adults, draw them outside. Or you can jut cut the seam allowance into the fabric.
I highly recommend you iron "inner basing" onto the back of the pieces to make them stiff. You can find this stuff at any craft/sewing store.
You'll also want to stuff the head-tails. Paper towels actually work decently. I'm contemplating adding another panel to the inside of the back tail to hold in extra stuffing, but I'm thinking my hair will kind of poof it out when I put it up with a wig cap.
I got about a yard of muslim fabric (100% cotton) and had plenty of extra.
If you want the back lekku to be wider than shown (like I eventually did), don't sew the seam between the two tail pieces as far up. Then make an extra panel to cover the back/hold the stuffing in. Contact me if you'd like me to explain more.
