Started as an unwanted pastel kit from Indigo Artbox, but turned into a drawing/pastel kit. I had a bunch of extras of things (brand new of course) and felt this would be a great kit. From the artbox you get the two Monet pictures, a piece of butcher paper, two pieces of sketch paper, two pieces of mixed media paper, set of 16 oil pastels, a 2B pencil, eraser and two of the blending stumps. I added a blue gel pen, gold gel pen, 02 micron pen, faber-castell PITT pen b (brush tip), 4 pencils (H, HB, 2B, 4B), pencil sharpener and more paper to use for pastels and gel pens (marker paper, textured pastel paper, smooth pastel paper).
Use the butcher paper to protect your work surface (oil pastels can be messy). The sketch paper can be used to plan out your drawings/pastel paintings. Marker paper is perfect to use with gel pens. The textured pastel paper provides an alternative surface for the oil pastels while the smooth provides another. The mixed media paper also has two sides providing different textures for the pastels. The mixed media paper seems like it would be able to support wetter mediums like watercolor or acrylic as well.
Could do a mixed media type of piece using the oil pastels, micron pen (for outlines) and the PITT brush pen for larger black areas.
