Reserved......Vintage Fight'n Rooster Pocket Knife...1st generation, mint condition
An elegant Frank Buster, Fight'n Rooster, pocket knife with a decorative painted brass handle and 2 blades. Fight'n Rooster knives began in 1977 by Frank Buster, Lebanon Tennessee. He designed his own knives and had them made in Solingen, Germany
This knife has the original first generation stamp of Fight'n Rooster knives on the tang of the blades. The front stamp is the Two Rooster Trademark and the word Solingen underneath the roosters. The back stamp is Frank Buster Cutlery Company, Germany. This knife would have been made between 1977 and 1982 when the tang stamps were changed. In later knives, etching was done on the blades themselves.
Buster has kept the number of his knives low and the quality high. For collectors, statistics are maintained by the company of the number of each knife produced, and the year of production. Company policy is limited release production, there are approximately 2000 styles, each has been limited to 100- 600 knives per style. Most are limited to 200.
Condition: As far as I can tell this knife has not been used. The painting is not scratched or chipped, the blades show no signs of wear or sharpening. The blade action is tight and snappy. The larger blade has some grey rubbing from opening the blade. The hinge is tight on that side and may need an adjustment.
Size: 3.25" long x 1" wide.
Color: Grey, green, and gold
