This listing is for 2 ounces of hand painted Teeswater wool in shades of brilliant blues with touches of mauve which I tried to show in the pictures (please keep in mind monitors can vary). Teeswater wool is great for using to make art yarn, felting, doll hair or photo props to name a few uses. The locks vary in lengths, some 7 inches without any stretching.
I dyed the fleece in small batches but individual locks can be separated out fairly easy. This Teeswater wool fleece comes from a small North American farm - I feel it is important to support our small family farms - they work hard in raising these wonderful rare sheep for the next generation to enjoy.
I sorted and washed the fleece twice before hand painting the fiber. Please keep in mind if ordering that their still can be bits of vegetable matter with locks. The animals live in barns and out in pasture and it is difficult to get out all the vegetable matter in tight locks.
