What's it made of? 100% Natural Alpaca fiber. After shearing, the fiber is sent to Zeilinger Wool Co. for processing. I handspun the yarn from roving. It's naturally colored and spun "woolen" to make a light warm yarn.
What can I make with it? I would use this yarn for a vest, hat, woven rug or hooked rug like Judy Taylor at littlehouserugs.com, or my personal favorite and seldom thought of and used with GREAT success has been wet felted slippers. These are hard wearing and very warm. This yarn is sleek and drapy with a light luster. Your project will drape and swing.
How will it look? I would see in my finished project nice stitch definition and a lustrous color. This is a slightly coarse yarn that will be hardwearing and durable.
