One cone has approximately 6500m (7000yds) of yarn. The gauge if you work this yarn in a single strand on 2.25mm needles is 24sts x 36 rows, but this yarn could easily be used mixed in with other strands. It has a natural cream colour, but should also be suitable for home dyeing. Particularly good for vintage patterns requiring a 2 ply yarn, lace knitting, or summer socks.
It is also very nice to knit on large needles and have more than 2/3 strands of the yarn knitted together. Lots of summer cotton knitted patterns would work with the yarn as you can increase the number of strands and needle size to match the pattern and your own expectations.
