cream and lilac purple yarn bowl ceramic pottery knitting crochet hand thrown
This hand thrown and turned yarn bowl is perfect for the hobby or serious knitter and lends itself to many other yarn crafts. Diameter is 17 cm at the widest point and it's completely handmade, thrown, turned, glazed and fired in my little pottery on the edge of the Pennine hills in the UK. This particular one has the most beautiful lilac/purple speckled glaze on the inside....quite gorgeous!
Each piece I make takes at least two firings to minimum of 1060 degrees C...there is a great deal of work in the handmade....but it's worth it!
I make individual pieces, usually as demos for my lovely students....hence the reasonable prices and vast variety of things in the shop.
Yarn bowls are shipped as medium parcels in the UK due to the amount of packaging needed to protect them. We ship second class for economy and offer an upgrade to first class with signed for delivery.
Postage and packing on multiple purchases will be at cost. I try to use recycled boxes and packaging on all orders in the interest of saving the pennies and the planet. This piece will be very well packaged as all my ceramics are. Your bowl will be very well wrapped in masses of bubbles and two boxes for a journey anywhere in the world.
All purchases will be shipped the same or following working day after cleared payment has been received. UK purchases will be posted first class and international packets will be posted airmail.
International airmail takes 5-7 days to be delivered to your local post office. Following this it is up to your local postal service to deliver in a timely fashion. I cannot be held responsible for delays caused. If you would like international tracked shipping, I am more than happy to do this at an additional cost. Please ask.
Postage will be charged at my standard rate as listed. My gift boxes are bigger than the size for a large letter and so will be charged as a small packet. If you would like to save on postage and don't need the gift box, I can charge for a small letter with a saving of about £2. Postage on multiple items will be charged at cost. If you have paid too much much for postage I will refund via PayPal.
If you would like any other postage option please convo me in advance of making payment for your purchase and I will list a reserved item for you. This includes recorded and signed for delivery.
I want your gifts to arrive in perfect condition so I pay careful attention to the packaging. Your ceramics will be posted in boxes or padded envelopes for safe transit. I recycle as much packaging as possible in order to protect the planet and preserve the pennies.
International buyers are responsible for any duties, customs and taxes levied by their individual countries.
Paypal is accepted. Please contact me if you would like to pay by any other means and we can discuss options.
Your purchase will be shipped the next working day after cleared payment is recieved.
