Item details

These kits provide all the materials to make two acorns, which may be used as earrings or as components in beadweaving projects.

The eTUTORIAL for these kits is available here:

Materials for Caramel’s Acorn Earrings

A - 12 pcs Czech Mate Crescent
B - 12 pcs Toho 8/0 Hex
C - 25 pcs Toho 15/0
D - 38 pcs Toho 11/0
E - 38 pcs Toho 8/0
F - 24 pcs Toho 11/0 Metallic
G - 14 pcs Toho Demi 11/0 Metallic
H - 2 pcs Czech 14mm Melon Bead
J - 4 pcs Toho Demi 8/0 Metallic
K - 2 pcs Toho 6/0

2 pcs 2” Headpins
2 pcs Fishhook Earwires
2 pcs Earring Nuts

You provide size 11 needles, #6 Smoke Fireline, (if your H Melon bead is light in color, you should have either Crystal Fireline or a matching thread, I prefer One-G) beeswax or microcrystalline wax, chain-nose pliers, side cutter, and scissors.

One-G thread is also provided in some kits ($15) for weaving the caps, with enough to allow for a third component, should anything not work as anticipated the first time. Other kits ($14) require Smoke Fireline, which you provide.

Buying these 10 different beads separately (depending on the source and quantity purchased) would account for more cost than buying the kit.

If you purchase more than one kit, five can fit into a padded mailer. Shipping costs will be accurately calculated for up to five kits. After that, a second package will be required and I will convo you about that.

Fair warning, the 14mm Melon beads are discontinued by the manufacturer, They are still available from many sources, but may be harder to locate as time goes by. Any 14mm bead could be used with this cap, but Caramel, (my little squirrel friend for whom this project is named) is always in favor of hoarding!
